Planning your Wedding In Charleston?

There are more weddings in Charleston South Carolina than only other city in the US except for Las Vegas. With an endless amount of Plantations, Resorts, Beaches, Indoor and Outdoor Venues to choose from. Picking the right spot that fulfills all of your dreams, but still fits your budget, can be quite a challenge. Over the years we have provided transportation for a countless number of weddings. Our fleet is capable of handling any sized function. Downtown can get expensive. If you are not ready to pay for that luxury, you may want to look off the peninsula to some of our surrounding areas. Especially if you want to be out doors. Take a look at Charleston's Visitors Bureau Guide. |

For an outdoor wedding, I would recommend the Charleston Harbor Resort and Marina... the have a big new pavilion that overlooks downtown. Its on the water and very convenient. Not too expensive but great amenities.
Many people choose plantations. Wedding / Reception at the same place, easy and convenient. You get the feel of a southern mansion, and all the oaks etc, but its not downtown. For those, I would look into Alhambra Hall, in Mt Pleasant. I would also look into Dunes West, in Mt Pleasant. You might also consider a plantation on Johns Island. It is only about 25 mins from downtown and I would assume is probably a little less expensive. Its called Fenwick Hall. |

On the Peninsula, there are more church's to choose from than religions. One of my favorites is the French Huguenot Church on Queen and Church, right across from the Dock St. Theater another historic building. Incredibly gorgeous and maintains a private setting. There is also a fantastic Mansion on Ann and King, called the William Aiken House. You could have both your wedding and reception here. They have everything you can think of, and its located right in the heart of Charleston's Nightlife!

If you choose to have the reception at a separate place other than the wedding, in downtown Charleston, I would recommend the Blind Tiger Pub. It is a very historic location and they have one of the nicest courtyards in town. Top it off with a great catering menu and an indoor space available for live music. Definitely a great spot for someone on a budget that still wants to capture the feelings of a historic venue.
